If I have to talk about somewhere near a natural place that I’ve been to, I would definitely like to tell you about a small café near a lake that I visited with my family.
Personally, I think it’s such a relaxing place because it’s surrounded by trees and is quite far from the noisy city centre.
I went there during a short family trip last summer. We had been travelling for most of the morning, so we decided to stop there for a drink and take a break.
When we arrived, I immediately liked the place because the café overlooked a large lake and there were mountains in the distance. The whole area was really peaceful.
At first, I thought we’d only stay for about half an hour, but it turned out to be one of my favourite parts of the trip.
We ordered some drinks and sat outside. Instead of looking at our phones, we just talked, took some photos and enjoyed the view.
What I liked most was the atmosphere. There wasn’t much traffic or noise, so it felt completely different from my normal daily life.
I felt really relaxed and it gave me a chance to get away from everything for a while. If I ever visit that area again, I’d definitely stop there.

What can local residents do to protect natural places?
SAMPLE ANSWER
Well, I think they can start with really basic things, like not leaving rubbish behind and avoiding damage to plants or trees. But I don’t think individual actions are enough if an area receives thousands of visitors. Local people could also report illegal dumping or take part in clean-up activities. For example, if people living near a lake regularly see plastic bottles around it, organizing a monthly clean-up could make a noticeable difference.

Should cities have more natural spaces?
SAMPLE ANSWER
Yeah, I think so, especially in heavily populated areas. People who live in apartments may not have a garden or much contact with nature, so parks give them somewhere to exercise or simply relax. For example, after sitting in a classroom all day, I’d much rather walk around a park than spend another two hours inside a shopping mall. Of course, land in big cities is expensive, so I understand why it’s not always easy to create large green spaces.

Why are natural attractions popular with tourists?
SAMPLE ANSWER
Hmm, I guess one reason is that they allow people to take a break from city life. If someone spends most of their week surrounded by traffic, buildings and screens, going to a mountain or beach can feel completely different. Natural places are also great for taking photos and doing outdoor activities. Personally, when I travel, I’d rather see a beautiful landscape that I can’t see at home than visit another shopping centre.
