PART 2 · SAMPLE ANSWER
If I have to talk about someone I know who did something difficult and succeeded, I would definitely like to tell you about one of my cousins.
Personally, I think he’s such a determined person because he managed to get into the university he really wanted after failing the entrance exam the first time.
He had always wanted to study engineering, so he worked quite hard during his final year of high school.
Unfortunately, his first exam result wasn’t good enough.
At first, he was extremely disappointed and even considered choosing a completely different course just so he wouldn’t have to try again.
But after thinking about it for a few weeks, he decided to give it another shot.
He spent another year studying, changed the way he prepared and focused much more on his weaker subjects.
There were times when he felt frustrated because most of his friends had already started university.
However, he stuck with his goal and finally achieved the score he needed.
When he received the result, our whole family was really happy for him.
I admire him because instead of treating failure as the end, he used it to understand what he needed to improve.
His experience taught me that success sometimes comes from simply refusing to give up too early.

What kinds of businesses are successful nowadays?
SAMPLE ANSWER
I’m not an expert on business, but I think companies connected with technology, online services and everyday convenience seem to be growing quickly. People increasingly want things to be faster and easier. For example, food delivery and online shopping have become popular because they save people time and effort. But traditional businesses can still succeed if they offer good quality and understand what customers need.

Is it easy to start a business nowadays?
SAMPLE ANSWER
In some ways, it’s easier because people can sell products online without renting an expensive shop. Social media also makes it possible to reach potential customers quite cheaply. But starting is different from succeeding. Competition is intense, and many businesses don’t make a profit for a long time. So the barrier to entry may be lower, but building a successful business is still difficult.

Besides money, how can we measure success?
SAMPLE ANSWER
I think success is very personal. For some people, having a high income matters, but others may care more about freedom, family time or doing meaningful work. For example, a teacher may not earn as much as a business owner but may feel successful because they help many students improve. So I don’t think money should be the only measure.

Does having a lot of money mean someone is successful?
SAMPLE ANSWER
Not necessarily. Money can show that someone has done well financially, but it doesn’t tell us whether they’re happy or satisfied. Someone may earn a lot but work sixteen hours a day and barely see their family. Another person may earn less but have a good work-life balance. So money is one part of success, but definitely not the whole story.

Should successful companies protect the environment?
SAMPLE ANSWER
Yeah, I think they have some responsibility, especially large companies that use lots of resources. If a business makes huge profits but causes serious pollution, society ends up paying part of the cost. Companies can invest in cleaner technology, reduce waste and use resources more responsibly. Of course, environmental changes may cost money, but in the long term, ignoring the problem could cost even more.

Is running a business harder now than in the past?
SAMPLE ANSWER
I’m not sure it’s harder, just different. Nowadays, businesses have more technology and access to customers, but they also face much more competition because customers can compare products from many companies online. A bad review can also spread very quickly. So businesses have more opportunities, but they probably need to adapt faster than before.
