If I have to talk about a famous person in my local area, I would definitely like to tell you about a teacher who has become quite well known for helping students learn English online.
Personally, I think he’s such an interesting person because he became popular mainly through education rather than entertainment.
I first heard about him through some students at school who shared his short teaching videos online.
He teaches English and often posts simple explanations of grammar, pronunciation and common speaking mistakes.
At first, I thought his videos would be similar to lots of other educational content online. But after watching a few, I understood why students liked him.
He explains difficult points in a very simple way and uses everyday examples instead of complicated terminology.
He’s also popular because he comes across as friendly and approachable, so students don’t feel intimidated.
I don’t know him personally, but I respect the fact that he uses his popularity to share something useful.
I think people like him can have a positive influence because they make learning feel less stressful.
So although he’s not a celebrity in the traditional sense, he’s definitely well known in the local community.

Nếu phải nói về một người nổi tiếng ở khu vực mình sống, mình chắc chắn muốn kể về một giáo viên khá nổi tiếng nhờ giúp học sinh học tiếng Anh trên mạng.
Mình thấy thầy ấy thú vị vì trở nên nổi tiếng chủ yếu nhờ giáo dục chứ không phải giải trí.
Mình lần đầu biết đến thầy qua một số học sinh ở trường chia sẻ các video dạy học ngắn trên mạng.
Thầy dạy tiếng Anh và thường đăng những giải thích đơn giản về ngữ pháp, phát âm và các lỗi nói phổ biến.
Ban đầu mình nghĩ video của thầy sẽ giống rất nhiều nội dung giáo dục khác trên mạng. Nhưng sau khi xem vài video, mình hiểu tại sao học sinh thích thầy.
Thầy giải thích những điểm khó rất đơn giản và dùng ví dụ đời thường thay vì thuật ngữ phức tạp.
Thầy cũng nổi tiếng vì tạo cảm giác thân thiện và dễ gần nên học sinh không cảm thấy sợ.
Mình không quen thầy лично nhưng tôn trọng việc thầy dùng sự nổi tiếng để chia sẻ điều hữu ích.
Mình nghĩ những người như thầy có thể tạo ảnh hưởng tích cực vì khiến việc học bớt căng thẳng.
Vì vậy, mặc dù không phải người nổi tiếng theo nghĩa truyền thống, thầy chắc chắn khá nổi trong cộng đồng địa phương.

Why are some students more popular than others?
SAMPLE ANSWER
Hmm, I think personality matters a lot. Students who are friendly, confident and easy to get along with naturally make more friends. Sometimes being good at sports, music or studying can also make someone well known. But popularity isn’t always positive because some students become popular simply by being loud or attracting attention. So being popular doesn’t necessarily mean being kind or respected.

Is it always good to be popular?
SAMPLE ANSWER
No, I don’t think so. Popularity can be enjoyable because people may have lots of friends and opportunities, but it can also bring pressure. Someone who’s popular may feel they always need to behave in a certain way or worry about what other people think. For example, a student with a big social media following might feel stressed if a post gets negative comments. So popularity has advantages, but it can also make life more complicated.
