Describe a person you know who wants a career in medicine.

If I have to talk about someone who wants a career in medicine, I would definitely like to tell you about one of my classmates who wants to become a doctor.

Personally, I think she’s such a determined person because she knows that medical training is difficult but still wants to pursue it.

I’ve known her for several years, but I first realised she was serious about medicine when we started talking about university choices.

She told me she’d been interested in becoming a doctor since she was younger.

At first, I thought the main reason was probably that doctors have a respected career.

But she explained that a close family member had spent a lot of time in hospital when she was a child.

She remembered how one doctor always explained things calmly to the family and helped them feel less frightened.

That experience apparently left a strong impression on her.

She knows she needs very good academic results and many years of study, so she’s already working hard in science subjects.

Sometimes she worries about the pressure because medical school is competitive.

But she says she wants a job where she can make a direct difference to people’s lives.

I really respect her ambition because it requires a lot of commitment, and she seems to understand that becoming a doctor isn’t just about having a prestigious job.
