Describe a short-term job you would like to do in a foreign country

If I have to talk about a short-term job I’d like to do in another country, I would definitely like to tell you about working at a summer camp in an English-speaking country.

Personally, I think it would be such an interesting experience because I could work, travel and practise English at the same time.

I first heard about this kind of job through videos made by university students who had worked abroad during their summer holidays.

The job would probably involve organising activities for children, playing games with them and helping staff with simple daily tasks.

At first, I thought it sounded almost like a holiday where you also got paid.

But after watching more videos, I realised that it could actually be quite demanding.

Staff sometimes work long days and have to deal with tired or upset children.

Strangely, that made me more interested rather than less interested because I think the challenge would push me out of my comfort zone.

I’d only want to do it for a few months rather than move abroad permanently.

During that time, I’d have to communicate in English every day instead of only using it in class.

I’d also meet people from different backgrounds and learn how to manage things without depending on my family.

Even if the salary wasn’t very high, I think the experience would be valuable in the long run.
